The captain says we should reach Arkalania within a matter of days now. I will confess quite a bit of anxiousness, more so than on any other journey I have taken.
The city of Yikove prides itself as being one of the pinnacles of human achievement and culture. To the elves of Khoresh, it is quaint. The elves pride themselves as being superior to all in such things. Yet what little I have heard of the Thallasalaos seems to indicate a level of culture and refinement that equals, if not surpasses, that of the elves.
Will I be welcomed as an honored guest, or looked down upon as a cultural lesser? Shirl, my companion, seems rather vague on this topic.
Lately, however, I keep finding my mind wondering about the whereabouts of my wayward apprentice. It is many weeks since Ravi’than left and attempted to follow the heroes through the tower portal. The message I received about the defeat of the Enchantress spoke of their return, but did not mention him.
Did he perish somewhere in the far north? Did he even manage to find those he was chasing?
Ever the impatient one. Poor Ravi. I pray that he finds what he is looking for, if indeed he is not already in the presence of the Eternal.
