The heroes have departed through the tower’s portal. The Eternal grant them safety and success in their dangerous mission. After what we saw here, who dares underestimate their foe, this mysterious Enchantress of the North?
Would that I had more information on her! What few clues we possess hint at connections to both Carn the dragon-lord and Gison Thorelon. Who knows what this foe is truly capable of?
Meanwhile, nothing is settled here in Yikove. The king and Arn work tirelessly in preparing the city for the inevitable war that draws nearer day by day. More scouts have been dispatched to keep an eye on the urzan army in the south. No one is yet sure of their capabilities, either. Will the great walls of Yikove even be the slightest deterrent to them? And what of nearby towns and villages? All are being warned to prepare for a swift evacuation.
I will be departing on my own mission fairly soon, I hope. I have never traveled to Arkalania, the home of the sea-people, and I am quite pleased to be correcting that oversight in my travels. Shirl Chasah, the sea-girl rescued by the heroes from the slavers, has been a fountain of information and aid. She will be accompanying me when I depart and is thrilled to be returning to her family.
For now, she has been assisting Princess Eudith in tending the fallen hero, Feldren. His sleep is an enchantment of some sort and its power has resisted our wisest mages thus far. I hold out hope that he may yet awaken before I leave.
There is so much left to be done…
